For the first time since the Covid pandemic, the junior and senior French classes traveled to Quebec for an unforgettable four-day trip. Students departed for Canada on Wednesday, April 22 and returned on Saturday, April 25 after exploring the cities of Quebec City and Montreal.
Throughout the trip, students experienced French Canadian culture firsthand while visiting several exciting attractions. In Quebec City, students toured the historic Old Quebec area, enjoyed shopping for souvenirs, and admired the city’s European-style architecture. The group also visited the tallest waterfall in Quebec, watched an impressive light show, and toured Wendake, a reservation of the Indigenous Huron-Wendat people, where they learned more about the region’s history and culture.
One of the highlights of the trip was curling. While in Montreal, students visited a curling arena where they learned how to play the popular Canadian sport. Many students said curling was their favorite activity of the trip.
Students also explored the Montreal Biodome, where they learned about different animals and the habitats they live in. Overall, the trip gave students the opportunity to practice their French, experience a new culture, and create lasting memories with classmates.
