What made you decide to become a teacher?

I always loved playing teacher as a child, and when I met my ESL teacher, she inspired me even more to make it a career. 

How long have you been working at Island Trees, and what are your favorite classes to teach?

I have been working at IT for 8 years. I enjoy teaching 7th/8th grade and Heritage Language Learners in 9th grade.

What is your favorite thing about Island Trees?

Since it’s a small community, we are all very united and know each other. The parents are very supportive.

What do you like to do outside of school/work?

I enjoy watching my son’s sports games, baking, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. 

What is one fun fact about you?

I was a hairdresser before I became a Spanish Teacher.
