Mr. Paletta’s Virtual Enterprise is back again this year. VE is a national program that allows for young entrepreneurs to come up with a fake business.  VE provides all students with authentic, collaborative, immersive business and entrepreneurial experiences.  The year kicks off with a team building activity called the Marshmallow Challenge.

The Marshmallow Challenge is a fun and exciting team building activity that engages team members to work with each other and use innovative thinking to accomplish a task. The challenge has teams use spaghetti pasta, string and tape to build a structure with the final piece being a marshmallow placed on top.  The team that builds the tallest structure wins.

The challenge allows the VE students to collaborate and use teamwork to complete a task.  It also allows the new class members  to get to know each other.  This aspect has allowed them to bond together and finally come up with this year’s business.  The class has created a firm; ReMix.  ReMix is about creating new experiences built around your real world and digital worlds.  

Thanks to all the groups that participated in the Marshmallow Challenge.  You all did an amazing job.  It was the catalyst that has led the VE class to introduce their firm ReMix.  Be on the lookout for our products and services in the VE marketplace soon.
