Mr. Paletta Virtual Enterprise firm call REMIX attended this year’s VE New York State & New England Regional Business Plan Competition and Trade Show at LIU Post on Thursday, Jan 9, 2025. 

The two day event was a huge success and showcased the talents of our young entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the Tri-State area.  The event hosted over 2,319 students, 156 firms, 110 facilitators, and over 50 judges and volunteers from across New York State. 

The Island Trees VE firm REMIX took full advantage of the day.  The team had to set up its booth and practice their sales pitch which would be needed all day.   The team stayed busy visiting other trade booths and engaging in networking with fellow VE students. The focus of the day was promoting our business and ultimately selling our products and services.  The team generated over $20,000.00 in sales. Our executive team also participated in the business plan presentation contest as well.  

The day was an enriching experience for our students that attended.  The experience helped them develop their entrepreneurial skills as well to give them a real feel of the soft skills and hard skills needed to be successful in the world of business. 

REMIX is looking forward to the Youth Business Summit in NYC this April.  The event will be similar to this past event except the venue will be much larger and will look to have over 4000 students and 400 firms at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.  See Mr. Paletta for more details regarding the Virtual Enterprise course here at Island Trees HIgh School.
