Mr. Paletta’s Virtual Enterprise class recently attended the annual LIU Trade Show at the LIU Post on January 10th, 2024. The event was the first in-person trade show of the year. Included were VE firms from all over Long Island including Nassau County, Suffolk County and even Brooklyn and Queens. VE is a global business elective in which high school students create a fake business but actually complete real-life business tasks.
The Island Trees firm Vintage NYC is a new clothing and apparel brand that offers athletic and leisure wear for today’s fit conscience society. Vintage NYC provides classic gym wear to trendy streetwear, and our versatile clothing line ensures you look and feel your best during every workout..
The Vintage NYC representatives that attended were Lillie Lederer, Angad Singh, Ciara Cruz and Tasin Raiyan. The students started their day by setting up their trade booth and preparing for a day of buying and selling.
Trading started at 9am after the opening announcements. The Vintage NYC employees spent the day taking orders and drumming up business. They also got the chance to explore the other booths and buy from VE firms from all over Long Island and NYC. Vintage NYC generated over $25,000.00 in sales through the VE networked banking system.
After a day of trading the team headed back to the high school. The day was long but productive. It was a great learning experience and a great way to network with new people.
