On Tuesday October 31st, I had the pleasure of speaking with our own Island Trees senior quarterback and football captain Kian McCoy.
Ms. O’Neill: “What are you most proud of this season?”
Kian: “I’m most proud of our record and our off season. We worked hard during the off season and it has paid off.”
Ms. O’Neill: “In your opinion, what is the best aspect of the football team?”
Kian: “Our defense.”
Ms. O’Neill: “What would you say to future Island Trees football players?”
Kian: “Work hard in the off season because it will show during the regular season and postseason.”
Ms. O’Neill: “As senior captain, do you have any last words?”
Kian: “Enjoy it while you can… it goes very fast.”
The Island Trees Bulldogs play Friday night, November 3rd versus Cold Spring Harbor High School in the Nassau County Conference IV playoffs.
